Advice for the upcoming ski season
Europe, USA and Canada are getting ready for what is expected to be a bumper year of snow. The first snow of the year has already fallen with the Swiss Alps being the winner in Europe. The Blackcomb Glacier in Whistler has already seen skiers getting in the first turns of the new season.
As with last year La Nina is set to play a big role this winter, forming over the autumn and continuing through the winter. La Nina is a phenomenon that occurs when sea surface temperatures across the equatorial central and eastern pacific are below normal.
